2. Embryological Tools

Most of an embryologist’s tools are so fine that they have to be made by hand. In this chapter, students learn how to make the microdissecting and other tools that they will be using throughout the rest of the laboratory exercises.

These include:

Microknives
Microneedles
Hairloops
Pipettes for sterile procedures
Embryo spoons
Instrument tray

They also learn how to retool their metal instruments, and the basics of sterile technique.
